Of course everyone likes to open gifts. However, we got the biggest kick out of watching Kylie open her gifts this year. Imagine this.....someone tells you that you just won a million dollars. Are you picturing your reaction? That is the reaction that we saw from Kylie with every gift. "Oh my goodness a Barbie." or "Oh my goodness it's a pair of pants." Seriously, it was the best!
We continued our little tradition of having the girls open ONE present on Christmas Eve. Of course, we choose that present because it is PAJAMAS!! With Auntie Jamie and Phillip spending the holiday with us, they wanted the girls to open one of theirs too, so we said it would be okay. I told Katie my reasoning was that the second present wasn't from us, so it didn't infringe on tradition. ***And yes, before I went to bed, I made sure the fire was out so Santa didn't get any serious burns.
The magic moment of the Christmas Eve pajamas...Landrie could hardly contain her excitement either. Sleepy girl in the swing, must be rough. I wonder if I would sleep that good in that swing?
Nice smiles by all, except for the serious one in the middle. The girls enjoyed spending some time with Auntie Jamie, and her help in making the Christmas cookies!!
Friday was a big day at Sallye Moore Elementary for all the kids! There was learning, of course, as well as an all school sing along in the cafeteria. Pretty serious business...afterwards I followed Jenna's class back to their room for their holiday party. That entailed pizza, several other snacks and cupcakes. They exchanged their little hand made 'gifts', and soon were on their way home for the holiday break. I got a couple snapshots of her with her little buddies..that's her and Taj above.
These two little ladies are like two peas in a pod, it's Jenna and Alycia.
First she cuts up with all sorts of giggling and laughter...

Then, she flashes some crazy gang signs or sign language. (we're not sure which)
The other day Jenna's class went to the school Christmas tree at the entryway to put on their hand made ornaments. Jenna's was a bell. You can see her peeking over the little boy named "Taj". He is the coolest little guy...he sits at Jenna's table, so she talks about him a lot. The little guy in front at the tree is one to watch out for...(in my fatherly opinion):)
We spent some time Sunday afternoon making Christmas cookies with our friends the Nordwick/Rebarcheks and the Bradleys. Jenna and Kylie had a great time with Andrew and Ian...Landrie was just supervising. Next year she will join the assembly line too...
The most fascinating thing for them was the sprinkles. The frosting was fun, but nothing compared to covering them with sprinkles...except of course for eating them!
Jenna was thrilled with her bowling skills; many times she managed to knock most of the pins down and maybe even got a strike? The simplicity of the whole thing is just great.
Kylie knocked over eight of them on this round, and I think she got some air running back to tell us. If she didn't get some air, this is proof that her hair got some air...she's our little muppet.
Jenna did lots of reading, it was nice for her to be able to read to someone other than us. She read some Junie B. Jones to Pop Pop, and some more Junie B. on her own...
Landrie wanted to be held a lot over the week, so thank goodness Shanny came to the rescue and helped out to give us a break.
Uncle Mike flew in from Orlando for a couple of days. He spent time with the girls...and caught a little cat nap on the evening of Thanksgiving. Good luck with law school Mike!
Uncle Conor was popular with the girls. They loved every minute drawing, playing pool...it didn't matter what, as long as it was with Conor. Kylie was scared of his dirt bike, she said it was loud...so as long as that wasn't around, Kylie was always shouting, "Where's Uncle Conor?"
The girls got together for a shot with Pop Pop, Aunt LeAnn and Great Grandma Marge. It is so nice to be able to get together...we will look forward to next year, Thanks for a great time.
I just have to pay a little respect and wish a very Happy Birthday to our faithful peekapomapoodle, Sammy. He puts up with a lot from Jenna and Kylie, and soon will do the same for his newest sister Landrie. From poking at his eyes, smacking his back while "petting" him, or chasing him...Sammy is loved completely!! While in Illinois for Thanksgiving, Kylie had a tearful moment, I asked her why she was sad and she said..."I miss Sammy." So Happy 8th Birthday old boy, that's people years...50 in dog years. That is a milestone!
Landrie loves her momma! Here she is looking at mom off to her right as I snapped her picture in her jumper. I loved the partial profile shot of her. I love the lack of expression on her face too. Check out her chubby cheeks...
River dance anyone? Use those legs Landrie, and you'll be our number one river dancer. After some practice, we'll send Michael Flatley your audition tape!! Next time I will get a smile out of her...I promise. 
The evening routine of bathing can be quite exhausting, but always eventful. Landrie loves the freedom of splashing around in the water in the big bathtub. Jenna and Kylie wait their turn for the bath...then it's off to brush their teeth. Who will go first? That is always a sisterly battle...they often fail to realize they can do it on the step stool, side by side, like sisters! My life with all of these girls...what ever will I do?:)
So serious after your dinner? Landrie loves to hang in her high chair in the kitchen when we are cooking dinner...she just watches the action. Jenna's Halloween crown was lying around, so being the proud dad of three girls I had to give Landrie a moment with the crown on her head. It won't be the first time Landrie!!
Little Landrie...1st Halloween, we couldn't decide or agree on the costume, so ultimately you get two costumes! Dad was partial to the "bunch of grapes" and mom was rooting for the "cob of corn". We loved them both, that is what made it such a traumatic choice. Landrie didn't wear either for too long, it was around 80 degrees. Either way, she makes us smile everyday!
With my sisters April wedding getting close we got the girls in to be fitted for their flower girl dresses. I already know that on April 4th they will want to sleep in these dresses because we had a heck of a time getting them out of them at the store. The dress that they will both be wearing is the one that Jenna has on. The didn't have th right size for Kylie so she tried on another one instead. 
The had to make it official and step up in front of the big mirrors.
