Jenna's Eye Surgery

Yesterday was a big day for Jenna. She had surgery on her eyes to correct Esotropia, a form of Strabismus...which many people commonly refer to as "lazy eye". She has been monitored for the past two years by her opthamalogist and he decided it was time to do surgery so that the eye that was being lazy would actually pull its weight and do something!
Everything went smoothly...we were both nervous while we sat in the waiting room thinking about our little girl getting this procedure done on her fragile little eyes. She did have a rough time coming out of anesthesia, was a bit combative...but they said that was normal with little ones. We took a couple pictures after she was admitted and before the surgery.
Getting settled in her hospital gear, working the remote for the TV...or to call the nurse?
All settled in with Barbie...or I mean 'Chelsea'...she was the toy she chose to bring in to help her get through the big day. Thanks Chelsea!!
Afterwards, we made it home, and Jenna slept most of the rest of the day. She wore sunglasses, as her eyes are very light sensitive and still are today. We will go back to the doctor next Monday and hope and pray for good news (no more glasses). Either way, we are just blessed to have a healthy little girl...glasses or not:) Love you Jenna Paige!

That's What Big Sisters are For!

What are Big Sisters For?

They will help you wash the parts you can't quite reach.......
They will feed you dessert.............
And hold your bottle!
What a helper.

Tired of Jumping....

It was the craziest thing...Landrie is jumping like crazy...jumping jumping and seriously like 10 seconds later she's out cold. So sweet! We've all had days like that.

Valentine's!

Here we are the night before Valentine's day getting ready for the big parties at school.
Both girls had a great day. Too much candy....if there is such thing.

8 months old...really!?!

Landrie has just passed the 8 month mark...she'll be a year before we know it! She is doing well, other than having a little ear infection and upper respiratory issue at the moment. It is nothing a little antiobiotic won't clear right up! She is 19 lbs, 28 inches long now which places her in the 75th percentile for both weight and height. She is not crawling yet, she likes to roll around though. I think our hard laminate floors make it a challenge for her to crawl, but who knows, maybe she likes rolling!!
She loves watching her crazy sisters, which we can understand. She certainly has more tolerance sometimes for their crazy shenanigans. It is always something new, ahhhh surprises:)
