A couple of years ago Jenna came home from school declaring that she had two wishes. She wished that she could have brown skin and earin' holes.
This past weekend we were able to grant one of those wishes. Here she is waiting for her skin transplant...just kidding.
She did such a good job. While we were waiting we watched a 2 month old baby get her ears pierced. The lady warned me to take Jenna out of the store because that baby was going to scream, but we had a talk about how the baby is too little to know that it only hurts for a second and didn't understand how cute she would be when it was over. Yes, that baby SCREAMED, but Jenna stood strong and got up in the chair. After the first ear she gave me this look as if to say...that was it? I thought this was supposed to hurt? All of this from the girl you can probably hear getting a shot from a couple states away.

Way to go, Jenna!
I am thinking she may have gotten her desire for brown skin from her dad, who I remember frying his skin in the tanning bed with Black Onyx tanning oil...like father, like daughter, perhaps? :)
